1. create a new Fla
2. draw a sphere using the default red-black gradient
and set its size to 100x100 
3. Select half of your sphere and cut it in two.

4. Select a tiny portion of the right half of the sphere and separate it from it

5. Select the scale tool
, handles will appear on the selection.
6. Drag the left handle to the left until it snaps on the left half sphere, drag the right handle to the right until it snaps on the right half sphere.
